WHOSE APPROVAL ARE YOU LIVING FOR?
Whose approval are you living for? This is something that I talk to lots of people about? We live in a society where we try and live up to other peoples' expectations. We have to wear certain clothes, know the right people, say the right things, act certain ways around people. Sadly, Christians act this way as well. Why is this? This morning, I was reading 2 Corinthians 5:9 and Paul says this, "So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it." So the question that needs to be asked is, Who are you living to please? If we are acting certain ways around people so we will be accepted, then we are not truly being who God created us to be. Sometimes we want to be accepted by people, that we will not tell others about Jesus Christ, at this point we are working for man's approval. This my friends is wrong. We have a command from Christ, to be telling the world about Him, regardless is we are accepted by the world or not. We are working to please our heavenly Father.
